Ramona Falls Hike

Today Logan and headed out to enjoy this very fine fall weather we are having. I love fall in the Northwest. And I was hoping to find some fall colors to photograph as well. We decided to head up to Ramona Falls, a fairly easy 7.3 mile loop in the Mt Hood Forest. It was a great day for a hike for sure. Here are few of the photos from todays excursion. Enjoy...

St Helens Hike

Saturday 10/7 a group of us hiked up Mt St Helens. We could not have asked for better weather. Starting off at the trailhead in the mid 30's and very foggy, a nice temp and conditions to start out on. I love that smell in the forest when it's thick wet fog rolling through...aaahhhh. Then followed by bright blue skies and only a slight breeze once we hiked above the cloud cover. It was Logan's first summit which I can say was pretty darn cool to have him at the top with me. He wanted to give up the last 1k feet yet I pushed him and he was glad for it with the view he had at the top. Here are some pixs of course... beyond a stellar sunrise and even caught St Helens letting off some steam. A great day for sure.
