Logan - Youth of the Year

Last Saturday at the annual Boys & Girls Club of Portland awards banquet Logan had the proud honor of being chosen Youth of the Year at the club he attends each day after school. The local Meyer Boys & Girls club each year will pick a youth of the year in 5 categories. These 5 kids are picked from some 600+ members at his club! Logan won Youth of the Year for Education & Career Development. Molly and I did not know, and neither did he so it was a surprise to us all. He was chosen for his regular participation in doing after school homework, helping others, helping out staff without being asked, and creating side projects such as web pages and powerpoint presentations for him and the club. I can not think of a better way to start out postings on this blog!

We asked Logan when he came back to our table what he was thinking while he was on the stage, his response..."my knees were wobbling."

Note the missing photo of Logan walking across the stage to accept these awards. The two "professional photographer" parents left their camera's at home! Don't worry we have given ourselves a hard time already for missing that shot.
