Painted Hills

As I am doing all these blog updates from the last 6 plus months at once. I am just getting back from a nice quick weekend getaway with my good friend Josh. We explored the Painted Hills area in the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, new to us both. It seems everyone must have been at the malls fighting the crowds for last minute shopping. There was hardly a soul around the two days we were there, we enjoyed that fact, thankful we were there. Cool air, the smell of fresh juniper, no city noise, and beautiful views. Thanks again Josh for coming with me, thanks to Molly for letting me go despite this being on the heals of the Christmas Holiday.
